TapTide — Privacy Policy

TapTide is developed by Ankit Dholakiya (HDApps), India.
1. Information You Create (Stored on Your Device)
Your routines, habits, progress, streaks, notes, and daily wins are stored on your device in a local SQLite database. This content is never transmitted to us — there is no cloud sync, no external backup, and no server that receives it. Deleting the app removes all of it permanently.
2. No Account Required
You do not need an account, sign-in, or email address to use TapTide. There is no registration, no login, and no cloud sync.
3. Information Collected Automatically
TapTide uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure aggregate, non-identifying usage of the app, and Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and error diagnostics so that defects can be fixed.
- Usage events — for example onboarding completed, routine created (with its category and reminder period), routine completed, reminder enabled, badge earned, and whether a system permission prompt was granted or denied.
- Diagnostic data — crash reports and error traces, together with device model, operating system version, and app version.
We do not read or transmit the content you enter: your routine names, your notes, and your daily-win text stay on your device. TapTide also periodically requests a small public version file over HTTPS in order to check for updates; that request contains no personal information.
4. Advertisements and Consent (AdMob)
TapTide displays advertisements served by Google AdMob:
- Banner ads at the bottom of the screen
- An optional interstitial ad once per day when all habits are completed
- An optional rewarded ad to support the app (user-initiated)
AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers (advertising ID), IP address, and usage data in order to serve and measure ads. Where required, TapTide requests your consent before serving personalized ads; you can review or change that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy Options inside the app. You can also opt out of personalized ads in your device settings:

5. Notifications
TapTide uses local notifications to remind you of your routines. Notifications are scheduled on your device and no notification data is sent to any server.

7. Third-Party Services

These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Your Choices and Controls
- Change your ad consent choice — Settings → Privacy Options
- Limit ad personalization — your device settings
- Turn reminders off — Settings, or your device notification settings
- Remove all app data — uninstalling the app deletes everything stored locally
- Request deletion of analytics or crash data associated with your app usage — email us and we will action the request
9. Children's Privacy
TapTide is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the app as well.
